Settling into her new role at 433 Bishop, we recently got the chance to have a catch up interview with her. Enjoy a little ‘behind-the-scenes’ of getting to know her!

Congratulations Kristin on your return to Novare Events! Share with us a little bit about when you last worked with the team and what you’ve been doing since.

Well as you know, I was formerly with Novare Events from Spring 2007 through Spring 2012 as the Account Executive for The Foundry at Puritan Mill – handling all sales and coordinating with the Ops team. Over those years we really saw wedding business for Puritan Mill grow as the area and venue’s ‘look’ became increasingly popular. Since leaving Novare Events, I took some time off to raise my two boys before they began elementary school. Our family also moved to Traverse City, Michigan where we bought a bakery. With that, I helped my husband with rebranding, marketing and accounting. You kind of become a jack-of-all-trades when owning a small business. It was thrilling to watch our yearly sales grow at such a high rate in such a short amount of time. We still own that bakery and have now added a pizza food truck to our business in Michigan.

What excites you most about returning to Atlanta and Novare Events?

I’m thrilled to jump right back into the industry that I knew so well. And there are actually a few things that I’m most excited about; working with past colleagues in the event business; watching 433 Bishop grow and gain new business; and seeing how Atlanta’s growth in the past 4 years has effected the special events industry. That growth has been amazing to see thus far! Myrna Antar (Executive Director of Novare Events) is such a great boss and I truly enjoyed working under her management previously. I’m super excited about this opportunity.

What are you looking most forward to in returning to work with Novare Events?

Watching 433 Bishop get off the ground and running, and just being back in the events business.

Share with us what drew you to working in the 433 Bishop space.

I think that 433 Bishop is a truly unique space. It is one of, if not the only, venue of this size with this industrial chic look. Most venues with this look are very large. I think that it’s a space that will appeal to a whole new group of clients hosting Atlanta events that are of a particular size. The venue is in a great location – convenient to Midtown, Downtown and Buckhead. It has a really cool open kitchen that’s not seen in many other venues  – with 2 cooktops that can be utilized for catering action stations during events. And with the venue’s furniture and AV capabilities that are included it makes this a pretty turn key space!
